The Ben Gurion University & Oxford Brookes University Scholarship

The Oxford Jewish Chaplaincy Board in association with the Oxford Jewish Congregation is proud to announce the launch of our new Israel-Oxford Scholarship Fund.

Based at Oxford Brookes University (OBU), this scholarship will attract post-graduate students from Ben Gurion University (BGU) in Israel.

The prgramme carries the support of OJC's Council and OBU's Vice-Chancellor. Fund raising is being conducted by a working group that includes Oxford Jewish Congregation members and the Development Director at Brookes, with whom the terms and conditions for the scholarship programme were agreed.

Our aim is to create a prestigious scholarship that will provide full funding for a qualified graduate student from Israel to pursue post-graduate studies at the level of a Master's Degree.

Our current objective is to offer a first scholarship for a student commencing his or her studies in October 2012. Funding permitting, similar scholarships will be made available from 2013 onwards.

The scholarship is intended to fund talented students from a range of disciplines where Brookes has particular expertise. Students will be selected on the basis of merit and academic ability and the terms of the scholarship are sufficiently flexible to permit this.
