Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ)
- Oxford Branch
CCJ is an organisation founded in 1942 during the darkest days of the Second World War under the auspices of the then Chief Rabbi and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Its aim is to promote dialogue and understanding between Christians and Jews. The Oxford branch has been flourishing for several years and aims to provide a stimulating programme of talks as well as an annual social event greatly enjoyed by all participants (especially since the introduction by one of the members, of Russian/Jewish descent, of pickled herrings washed down with vodka). Further information go to http://www.ccj.org.uk.
